Relaxation Massage (similar to Swedish Style)
Relaxation massage is the foundation of your experience at Tranquil Touch. To start with you’ll be enveloped in a luxurious 650 thread-count full-body towel from neck to toes. A cocoon of soothing warmth designed to help your body instantly relax and unwind. Then the magic begins.
This style uses steady, flowing strokes and consistent, attentive pressure to help the body gradually shift out of tension and into a more settled, restorative state.
Many people move through their day in a constant state of subtle activation, mentally alert, physically holding, and rarely given the space to fully switch off. This treatment is designed to gently interrupt that pattern. As the body begins to feel safe and supported, the nervous system can move out of “fight or flight” and into a calmer, more regulated state.
Rather than focusing on specific areas of discomfort, the intention is to work with the body as a whole, softening muscular tension, supporting circulation, and allowing a deeper sense of ease to emerge. Clients often notice improved sleep, reduced mental noise, and a lingering sense of calm that carries well beyond the session.
Technique: Long, flowing strokes (effleurage), kneading (petrissage), and friction to improve blood flow and relieve tension.
Purpose: Deep relaxation, muscle soreness relief, and stress reduction.
Pressure: Moderate, focusing on muscle tissue.
___
Therapeutic Massage (similar to Somatic style)
This treatment combines therapeutic bodywork with a calm, nervous-system-aware approach to massage.
Sessions begin with a brief conversation about how you’re feeling physically and mentally, followed by gentle breathwork and grounding techniques designed to help the body settle before deeper massage begins.
Stress, emotional strain, and ongoing tension are often experienced through both the nervous system and the body itself. Areas such as the neck, shoulders, jaw, back, and hips commonly hold patterns of tightness and protection.
Rather than working aggressively against tension, this approach focuses on helping the body feel safe enough to gradually release it. Once the nervous system begins to settle, deeper muscular work can be more effective and comfortable.
The treatment blends focused therapeutic techniques with flowing relaxation massage, creating a session that is both restorative and targeted.
Technique: Gentle nervous-system-focused work combined with therapeutic massage techniques.
Purpose: To calm the mind, reduce physical tension, and support deep relaxation.
Pressure: Generally lighter to moderate pressure, adjusted to your comfort and specific areas of tension.

FAQs
Do I remove all my clothes?
Yes, except briefs, although some people prefer no underwear which is totally fine. There is a modesty sarong over the body which is moved around throughout the massage. If you don’t want any oil on your briefs disposable underwear is available.
Are the genitals touched?
No.
What’s the difference between a Relaxation and a Therapy Massage?
Relaxation massage (often called Swedish Style) is slightly firmer with long flowing ‘transition’ movements across the whole body, it focuses mainly on muscles.
Therapy massage will engage your nervous system with some calming breath work to begin with, then slower and lighter strokes across the body. Your muscles will still get worked on, however some parts of your body may need more attention than others.
Can I make a booking then change to either a Relaxation or Therapy massage?
Absolutely, you are in total control. As a male therapist I understand that arriving for a massage can sometimes bring nervousness or hesitation. My intention is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and at ease, so your body can relax naturally and receive the care it’s been longing for.
